Starting with this chit chat session, I would like you to introduce our readers to your book “Blahman and The Attack Of The Wicked Zombies”.
First of all, thank you very much for having me here on this prestigious platform.
Well, my book “Blahman and The Attack Of The Wicked Zombies” is all about sheer imagination that every child carries in their mind and in their dreams of fighting with Zombies and saving the world. This book presents this idea in depth about a situation when normal people started to become Zombies, how they started spreading across the world and how our Superhero Blahman deals with them.
It is undoubtedly a roller-coaster ride giving adrenaline rush to kids’ brain. I am also certain that this book will also be liked by teenagers and adults alike.
So, my next question is –How did you arrive at the core idea and why you titled it as “Blahman and The Attack Of The Wicked Zombies”?
If you have followed my writing, you would have noticed that in my first book I have introduced our superhero ‘Blahman’ and entire story around him as how he came to life etc. So the core idea is to showcase different adventures of Blahman – so that is the point number One.
Secondly, few movies – like Train to Busan, Dawn of the Dead, Zombieland – have inspired me to write a book on Zombies.
What difficulties you faced while writing the book?
First and foremost, it is very difficult to define each character and their traits. With that in mind, you need to also define story-line and interconnections between all chapters. As a writer, it is very important to keep all chapters extremely well-defined and glued together – to keep your readers interested and excited all the time.
Secondly, as you know, I add tons of illustrations to give a kick to the story. This gets really complicated when you have to visually present your thoughts.
But I truly believe that these challenges actually bring the best of me.
What is the next project you’re working on?
Well, as you know this is my second book which is about Zombies, while my first book was about journey to the space.
So, as you can see, I always look for challenging subject to write book on. Frankly, I have already started working on my 3rd book, but let’s keep details of this 3rd book a secret for now (and he smiles..). Wait… and your patience will be rewarded (and he smiles..)
You’re a student. How do you manage to steal some time for writing?
I guess writing book while you are also studying at school is really a challenging task. We have to manage our time cautiously. I like things in a very organized way. I get lots of help from my elder sis Shrieya and my parents to follow my date wise schedule. This keeps me on my toes and I am lovin’ it.
