\"\"<\/a>Tell us a little about yourself and your background?<\/span>
\n<\/strong>I am a Trader by choice and Intraday Trading is my passion. I trade only in Nifty and Banknifty options and I use \u201cMarket Profile<\/em>\u201d for my trading decision which gives an extra edge for intraday traders. I have worked in IT industry for over 10 years in different roles and I have voluntarily opted to pursue a full-time career in stock markets, which is my subject of passion and expertise. In 2007, I had an opportunity to work in an International bank as a software developer. However, later I worked within Markets team at different levels and during this time I got the exposure towards stock market.<\/p>\n

Initially, I made some money after Satyam scandal (as I bought some shares when it is trading at Rs.10), but only to lose all the profits and capital back to the market. Later I learned technical analysis under the guidance of my trading guru Chetan Kumar<\/em> and after few years I learned Market Profile from both Chetan and Rudramurthy B. V.<\/em> I took trading as a full-time career from 2016.<\/p>\n

How did \u2018Trade and grow rich\u2019 happen? Could you describe the journey?\u00a0<\/span>
\n<\/strong>I have a Telegram group and people started asking me to conduct seminars on intraday trading and market profile. Usually, I have a habit of giving a trading or motivation related book to all the participants in my training workshop. In one such seminar, one participant suggested me to write my own book instead of giving other books. I was impressed by this idea and thought to give it a try. I discussed with my friend Kiran Nayak<\/em> and later he becomes the co-author for this book.<\/p>\n

Initially, I thought writing a book is easy and my idea was to write everything which I usually teach in my seminars. However, when I sat down to write the first chapter I had realized that writing a book is a different level game.<\/p>\n

Later, we shortlisted all the contents which we want to write it in the book and finalized ten topics among them, and we thought to keep those ten topics in ten chapters. After that, we divided each chapter into 5-10 sub chapters based on the complexity level of the chapter, and we added 5-10 sections for every subchapter.<\/p>\n

Finally, we approached Notion Press to publish the book. They did a fantastic job and the book is going really well now.<\/p>\n

What according to you is different about your book?<\/span>
\n<\/strong>\u201cConsider the Market as an Employer. Why should the Market give you Money? What Qualities do you possess or develop to get Money from the Market?\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

We have started our book with this quote because many people think Trading is easy and they can learn within a short period. However, practical Trading is like any other skill which demands persistence effort and practice. So, with the help of our own quotes like above our book convey the right message with right impact.<\/p>\n

Next is Simplicity! This book doesn\u2019t contain any complex theories or formulas, yet it covers all the major aspects of trading. I have just shared my practical experience in the book in the simplest language. It gives more importance to psychological aspects, emotional control behavior along with few trading techniques which gives an extra edge in trading.<\/p>\n

As all the traders know only \u201cEntry\u201d and \u201cExit\u201d decides the fate of any trade irrespective of the educational qualification, experience, and reputation of a trader. We have dedicated one entire chapter (Chapter-5 Abhimanyu, Who Knew the Entry and Not the Exit) to explain the entry and the exit techniques.<\/p>\n

\u201cMen who can both be right and sit tight are uncommon.\u201d<\/p>\n

This is a famous quote by the world\u2019s best trader Jessy Livermore. This indicates the importance of holding a right trade when it is showing profits. Because retail traders face emotional challenges when a trade is showing profit in their favor. Personally, I had experienced this issue when I bought put options on the surgical strike day. I started booking the profits as soon as option price started going up and I was able to capture only 35% of the market move. Hence, to highlight this factor we have a separate chapter (Chapter-7 Golden Rule of Holding).<\/p>\n

In addition to this, we have interviewed 7 top traders from India and their trading journey, knowledge and experience is also covered in the book.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>What is the most fulfilling part of writing this book? And what is the most challenging?
\n<\/strong><\/span>As explained above, both the chapters on \u201cHolding\u201d and \u201cEntry\/Exit\u201d topics were really challenging and fulfilling.<\/p>\n

In addition, we have used many day-to-day examples to explain the trading concepts and these simple examples helped many readers to understand the concepts. For example, we have compared Intraday trading with T-20 cricket, Positional Trading with One-day cricket match and Investment with Test Cricket match. These kinds of examples received much appreciation from the readers.<\/p>\n

Now our book will also be translated to Hindi, Gujarat and Kannada as we have almost finalized the discussions with publishers.<\/p>\n

Any advice to writers that would like to be published today? How tough is it to be published?
\n<\/strong><\/span>If you are good at something, go ahead and write a book. This will help you to reach more people.<\/p>\n

We have two types of publications \u2013 1) Traditional publication & 2) Self-publication. In traditional publication, Authors will be paid less Royalty and in Self-publications scenario Authors will get more royalty. Nowadays publishers like Notion Press, HSS by Jyotsna Ramachandran<\/em> are doing a wonderful job in self-publication category. With the help of these professionals, one can write and complete all the formalities within 2-3 months!<\/p>\n

What is the next book that you have planned?
\n<\/strong><\/span>My next book covers in depth information on intraday trading and market profile. I have a goal with respect to my intraday trading. Once I achieve my goal, I will release my second book. My current plan is to complete it by end of this year.<\/p>\n
