Articles &#8211; The words \u201ca\/an\u201d and \u201cthe\u201d are called Articles. These words are usually used before a noun.<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"color: #0088ff;\">There are two types of articles : a) Definite articles and b) Indefinite articles.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>a) Definite Articles &#8211; Definite articles are those articles that usually point out a particular person or thing. E.g. He saw <strong>the player.<br \/>\nThe <\/strong>definite article can be used before singular as well as plural countable noun. It can also be used before an uncountable noun.<\/p>\n<p>b) Indefinite Articles &#8211; Indefinite articles are those articles that usually leave indefinite the person or thing spoken of. E.g. He is a doctor, I have an umbrella.<br \/>\nIn the above examples <strong>\u201ca\u201d<\/strong> and<strong> \u201can\u201d<\/strong> are indefinite articles that are representing any doctor or any kind of umbrella.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #0088ff;\"><br \/>\n2. Demonstratives &#8211; The words like this, that, these and those are known as demonstrative determiners.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #0088ff;\"><br \/>\n3. Possessives &#8211; The words like my, our, your, his, her, its , their, Mohan\u2019s, Lion\u2019s etc are\u00a0 known as possessive determiners.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0088ff;\"><strong><br \/>\n4.
