    Chit Chat Session

Starting with, give us a little gist about your book. What it is all about?
It’s about ambition, love and overcoming fears. About realizing what is important in life. It’s a story about Amrita and Arjun. Two people who are set up for an arranged marriage, reluctantly. But, a spark ignites between them along the way. Does this spark turn to fire or is it drenched by the water of insecurities and misunderstanding? That we find out as we read on.

Which book inspired you the most?
I can’t pick one. Though I love the “Anne of Green Gables” series by LM Montgomery.

What is the most fulfilling and the most challenging part of writing a book?
Most fulfilling part is- When it’s up and completed for readers, after all the revisions and edits.
Challenging – Sticking to a schedule of writing, every day, with dedication.

This is your first book. So, what according to you are common traps for aspiring writers?
Not being open to improvement. Getting discouraged by criticism. Use the criticism to improve.

How do you manage writing with your profession?
I start writing whenever I get time. Even if it is for five minutes. I scribble on whatever I might have with me at that moment, a pen-paper or a smart phone.

Do you try more to be original or to deliver to readers what they want?
I don’t really try to be anything. I just write whatever comes to me at a moment, without thinking much about it.

What does literary success look like to you?
Good reviews! Also, people feeling they have entered the world created in the book when they read it.

What’s the best way to market your book(s)?
Still trying to find out the best way to market my book. But, I think the best is still getting a traditional publisher or a distributer for big bookstores. They are professionals and market on a huge scale.

Lastly, please let us know about your next project.
An adventure-fantasy with an element of romance. Based in Mumbai. Currently, I have named it “Birds of a Feather”.
