About The Book
To destroy great EVIL, GOOD has to shed tears of blood.
Rudransh Kashyap is a self-made billionaire and man of high moral fiber. His life is shattered when he returns home one day to find that his prodigy, his 16-year-old grandson, Aarush, has been arrested and accused of a brutal gang rape. It is easy to say, “Kill the Rapist” but what if the accused is your child?
This case takes an unprecedented turn when Aarush’s identity is made public on social media. Rudransh finds himself living a nightmare as he fights against tremendous odds to get justice for Aarush, to save him and to bring him back home… But what if the unthinkable is true? Can Rudransh save his grandson, or will he end up fighting a different battle altogether?
AMAZING! AMAZING! AMAZING!
Firstly, I would like to congratulate Mrs. Kirtida Gautam for penning down such a wonderful story.
Kirtida Gautam’s un-put-downable book, #IAm16ICanRape is a psychological thriller. The title chosen by the author is apt and goes with the concept. The cover page, on the other hand creates a mystery in the mind of readers. The blurb is crisp and gives you a hint about the story.
Through this book, the author raises some sensitive yet interesting points. What is Rape? What makes a person Rapist? What is the psychology behind Rape? Is it the fault of Rape Victim?, and much more. The author has perfectly questioned the Juvenile Justice System of India. #Iam16ICanRape is clearly a tribute to Nirbhaya Rape Case.
Author has done a very good job when it comes to the narrating part. The chart at the beginning of the book is really interesting.
She has described each character in depth and every character’s view point is made very clear by the author. Extra brownie points for that! The chapters where Aarush talks about himself are the most interesting ones. Why is he the way he is? or Why he do what he do?. When it comes to Subhangi Tyagi, the Rape victim, Kirtida has put all the emotions, not even a single emotion is spared.
All in all, it is an interesting and soulful read. My ratings for #Iam16ICanRape is 4/5!
I would like to recommend this wonderful book of fiction cum psychology to all the readers out there.
